This article came across as one of the most popular on delicious tonight, and I thought it was interesting. I am intrigued by auditing some courses from MIT for free, and also would love to teach some online classes some day via all the web tools we learned this week at tech camp.
Animoto, Wikis, and other goodies
Tech Camp Tagged Animoto, Bitstrips, Tech Camp, Wikis No Comments »Today, we have worked on a plethora of new items. The first is Animoto. Animoto allows you to upload still photos, and to pick a royalty free song. It will then create a custom movie slideshow of your images. The video of my lunch was created in about five minutes using Animoto. Educators get a free account, and you can even order a dvd of your slideshow for a small fee.
We also learned about wikis, which is a new interest for me. I am looking forward to using wikis at my school so that we can make professional learning communities move more efficiently. Hickory Ridge teachers watch out! A wiki is in the works!
We also have added our bitstrips avatars to our blogs, and commented on other people’s blogs.
